After years of dabbling, writing crime fiction is something Jacqueline took up seriously only relatively recently after retirement from employed work, having spent three decades working in the pub trade and two in the charity sector.
Born and brought up in Low Fell, Gateshead, Jacqueline now lives in the south-east corner of Northumberland with her husband Kevin, the source of many of the off-the-cuff comments she includes in her writing.
Jacqueline draws inspiration from the countless beautiful settings, and grittier locations, around her in the North East of England, and from her years spent observing human nature and the complicated social entanglements of her regulars from her time working behind bars in pubs, hotels and nightclubs, although she has no idea if any of her regulars actually did commit the sort of murders she writes about.
